He's spent the better part of the day drinking at the local bar, and he's only half-paying attention to his job.As the day wears on, Jack's boss, Mr. MacGregor (James Cromwell), calls him into his office and informs him that he's being let go. Frustrated and angry, Jack storms out of the bank, where he's confronted by a group of armed robbers. They demand that he open the vault, but Jack is too drunk to remember the combination. In a moment of desperation, he passes out.The robbers take advantage of Jack's passed-out state and make off with his briefcase, which contains the bank's records and the payroll for the day. However, they don't realize that the briefcase also contains Jack's personal belongings, including his wallet and his keys.
